PR’s teacher union heads to court tomorrow
March 13, 2008 by libertyisforme
Under law, union strike the teachers union did two weeks is illegal. So, the Governor stuck it to them and revoked their certification. Awesome!
However.
Tomorrow, the union goes to the appeals court to argue that their certification should be reinstated.
As much, as I despise unions, they are going to win this at some point because it’s part of their 1st Amendment right to assemble.
Oh another note, Governor Anibal has agreed to increase wages. Not for teachers but to all public employees. Doesn’t this guy know anything about economics? Of course not, he loves welfare.
Puerto Rico is suffering from stagflation. Unemployment is 11%.
No increase in wages will make the standard of living any better.
