FL: Court says the governmnet CAN take your property for private use

A state appeals court on Wednesday ruled the city of Hollywood can take a family’s downtown property and give it to a private developer.
Why did the the judges allow this?
Because the property in question is in a historic area.
…historic preservation is an acceptable reason for a government to take private property, the court said in a 3-0 ruling.
