White girl sues UT-Austin for racial discrimination

Yesterday, the Project on Fair Representation sued the UT-Austin on behalf of a White high school senior after being denied admission.
The group claims that since the White girl isn’t top 10 percent of her graduating class, the university rejected her because of race. The top 10 percent rule would have automatically granted her admission to UT.
If the allegations are true then the university is being despicable. Race should not be used as a factor.
However, the group’s website hasn’t convinced me on how the university exactly discriminated against the the student.
