Peter Schiff Predicts Meltdown, Gets Laughed At
November 17, 2008 by elcap
Economist Peter Schiff is frightening. And for two reasons: He forecasts catastrophe for America…and his predictions are amazingly accurate. Schiff warned repeatedly in 2006 and 2007 that the financial meltdown was coming and explained in detail what would happen. Note how Art Laffer and Ben Stein and the rest of the pundits belittle and scorn Schiff’s brilliantly prescient forecasts:
Unfortunately, Schiff also thinks that in the near future the Dow Jones (8274) will be worth the same as an ounce of gold (737). Further, says that Obama spells doom.
Only one presidential candidate gave Schiff hope:
We need a plan that stimulates savings and production not more of the reckless borrowing and consumption that got us into this mess in the first place. Ron Paul’s plan is the only one that amounts to a step in the right direction. If you want meaningful change - for the better that is - Ron Paul is the only candidate capable of delivering it.

So does Art owe him a penny?
