Excellent Education for Everyone’s newsletter has just informed me that NJ is pushing a bipartisan bill to pass school vouchers in 7 cities.
NJ has been trying to get a school voucher program started for a looong time and it’s about time state legislators realized that their public schools are horrible and kids need alternatives.

Yesterday I blogged about Sun-Sentinel’s terrible opinion on school vouchers. Personally, I found their opinion filled with loopholes.
However, the Miami Herald’s opinion had substance and provides examples unlike the Sun-Sentinel. However, I still disagree with them.

A few days ago, a special state committee discussed the possibility of giving Texan high school dropouts a voucher.
That discussion went nowhere but I do need to correct the AP in their story.
They said the following:

Missouri bureaucrats are against a tax-credit program that would give special needs students scholarships to attend better schools.
